Andrew Cather has been a Tucson native since 1968. Educated at Rincon High school and graduating in 1986, it was here that Andrew first started taking guitar lessons and he continued his music education with several local instructors. He then went to the University of Arizona (UA) where he studied Guitar Performance and Music education. He began teaching guitar lessons in Tucson shortly after finishing school. With his experience of private guitar instruction since 1990, Andrew has formulated and developed his own proprietary teaching method system. Apart from his evening and weekend teaching association with Catalina Guitars, Andrew also works at Guitar Center in Tucson during weekdays and has extensive knowledge of guitar and recording technology. Andrew's main goal is to help his students learn the guitar techniques necessary to achieve their musical goals and enjoy making music.
